About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join the school team immediately. The role focuses on supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, helping them access learning, manage emotions, and build positive social skills. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys making a real difference in pupils’ personal and educational development.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural challenges.
* Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies and differentiated learning activities.
* Support pupils with personal care when required, maintaining dignity and respect.
* Encourage positive social, emotional, and behavioural development throughout the school day.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to maintain consistent support and develop personalised strategies.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to behaviour support plans and progress monitoring.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working with pupils with behavioural, social, or emotional needs is highly desirable.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and inclusive education strategies.
* Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2/3, Health and Social Care, or Education Support, are advantageous.
* Must have the right to work in the UK and hold, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.
