We are advertising for four Ward Manager positions across the Secure Care Division to provide clinical and managerial leadership to our wards.
Nurses working in the Secure Division contribute to the provision of specialised treatment in Low, Medium, and High Secure settings, working closely with service users, carers, and partner organisations to ensure safe and effective care.
Ward Nurse Managers will model the Trust values of Continuous Improvement, Accountability, Respect, and Enthusiasm in progressing the Trust's ambition to achieve perfect care for our patient group.
The vision is to support service users along their care pathway, ensuring appropriate assessment, engagement, and therapeutic activity. We also aim to support a timely discharge into the community.
Since 1st November 2021, a Recruitment & Retention premium has been introduced to attract and retain staff within the Secure Care Division in High, Medium, and Low Secure Services, supporting our “Grow Our Own Strategy”. For our qualified nurses, this will be a premium ranging from £1200 to £7500 per annum, depending on the allocated area.
Allocations will be determined by service need and R&R will reflect the amount for that clinical area. Service need is fluid and subject to change.
The ward manager will provide professional nursing leadership at ward level, acting as a role model and demonstrating up-to-date knowledge of mental health, learning disability issues, and physical health needs. They will develop professional expertise and maintain professional networks. The ward manager will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to promote the mental and physical well-being of patients by addressing health promotion, psychological, rehabilitation, and educational needs.
