About the role
This is a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months.
As our Human Resources Business Partner you'll be joining an established team providing a high quality, professional People Management Service to the Council and its employees.
You'll be joining us in a dynamic time of change in which we're undergoing transformation in several key areas and embedding a positive, CAN DO culture and values to drive both colleague and customer satisfaction.
This is a hands on, operational position where you'll have responsibility for several Service Areas, developing close relationships with stakeholders and employees that you will utilise to do a range of HR activities such as;
* Provide advice and support to line managers
* On-going development and coaching of line managers to improve their people management skills
* Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns within your Service Areas
* Provide guidance and support to ensure a positive work environment
* Support and Lead on various HR projects and initiatives
* Support and advise on change management and restructure processes

About you
You'll be an experienced CIPD qualified Human Resources professional who's resilient, ethical and relationship focused who thrives in an environment where they can help advise and influence to get positive outcomes for all involved.
You'll have experience of working with a wide range of employees across multiple departments doing hands on HR work including absence management, policy development, case work, trade union consultation, pay and benefits and workforce planning
Public Sector experience or experience within a Unionised environment is preferred but not essential.
