Secondary Drama Teacher
1. Location: Wallasey
2. Type of Work: Long Term
3. Start Date: September 2025
4. Contract Type: Temporary
5. Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
6. Rate of Pay: Paid to scale
7. Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Responsibilities:
8. Lesson Planning and Instruction: Designing engaging drama lessons, utilising a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
9. Assessment and Evaluation: Creating and grading assessments to evaluate student progress, including performances, written assignments, and class participation.
10. Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, addressing behavioural issues, and fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
11. Student Support: Providing additional help to students who are struggling with the material and offering guidance and encouragement to those with a keen interest in drama.
12. Inspiring Creativity: Encouraging students to express themselves creatively and explore their talents in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
13. Teaching Qualification: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
14. Experience: Previous experience working in a UK secondary school is essential.
15. Safeguarding Training: Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable, but not essential as training is provided).
Eligibility Requirements:
16. Right to Work in the UK
17. Enhanced Child Barred List DBS Certificate: Must be registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
18. Professional References: Provide two professional references.
