The Role We are seeking a caring and reliable Teaching Assistant to join the Year 4 team on a part-time basis. This role involves providing one-to-one support for a pupil who experiences sporadic seizures. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure her safety during these episodes and assist her in re-engaging with learning when appropriate. Hours & Contract: Part-time: 2 days a week - Wednesdays and Thursdays Temporary contract: January 2026 until February half-term Key Responsibilities: Offer calm and reassuring support during seizures, following school protocols. Work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCO to provide tailored assistance. Help the pupil access learning activities and maintain inclusion in the classroom. Foster a positive and supportive relationship to encourage confidence and independence. What We're Looking For: Preferably Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools or equivalent. Experience working with children in a school setting (preferred). Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A proactive approach to supporting learning and wellbeing.
