Role responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for a Station Environmental Operative to be based in our Treherbert station. This is a pivotal role that will be responsible for cleaning the Treherbert Depot Facilities and train carriages held at the depot. Responsibilities will include but not be exhaustive of:
1. To carry out carriage cleaning duties as directed by the Team Leader/Train Presentation Manager, ensuring all duties are carried out safely with the use of supplied PPE adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
2. Clean Treherbert Depot staff and station facilities.
3. Order approved cleaning products and maintain storage of those products in line with COSHH requirement
4. Relocate deliveries form depot building to stores area
5. All above duties are carried out whilst ensuring own personal safety and that of others at all times and comply with the previsions of the personalised rule book and local instructions

6. Previous cleaning experience within a rail environment
7. Knowledge of COSHH is desirable
8. Good communication skills
9. Ability to work on own initiative
10. Ability to work alone and as part of a team
11. Ability to follow rules and instructions
12. The role involves elements of night working and therefore being able to travel to work with own transport is essential.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
