Chiltern Wood School is a Special School currently supporting over 200 students ranging from ages 3 to 19 years, located across three sites in Cressex, Downley and Studley Green.

About the role
As Class Teacher the successful candidate will work directly with children with complex learning, social and sensory needs. In addition, will have a strong desire to work with a challenging and rewarding group of pupils, and understand how to build positive relationships with pupils, their families and supporting professionals. Communication, regulation and life skills are at the core of our curriculum.
Therapeutic interventions are fully immersed into class timetables and our key focus areas are communication, regulation and learning for life. We benefit from both our own and consultant occupational therapists and speech and language therapists. Our therapeutic team and other external professionals work closely with our teaching teams.
About you
We welcome applications from those who have previously taught in mainstream schools, unqualified and Early Careers Teachers.

5. Act within, the statutory frameworks, which set out their professional duties and responsibilities and in line with the duties outlined in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document (2023) and TEACHER STANDARDS (2021)
6. Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
