MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLEThis is an extremely exciting role within a busy Warehouse environment. As the Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will support the Warehouse Manager in leading the team in organising the efficient and safe storage and dispatch of warehouse products. You will assist the Warehouse Manager in delivering the daily operations of the Warehouse facility, managing processes to ensure the effective flow of goods into, through and out of the warehouse to the point of delivery. Maintaining focus on right first time to ensure your branch remains efficient while providing the highest level of customer service to all your customers.ACCOUNTABILITESThis role will involve supporting the Warehouse Manager in the following responsibilities:Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operationsManage stock control and reconcile with data storage systemPlan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise resultsEnsure that warehouse operational costs are maintained within budgetProvide regular and ad hoc operational reports as requested.Ensure all training requirements are met and regularly reviewed.Maintain fleet operations in line with legal requirements and transport policyMaintain a safe working environment in line with health & safety legislationWork closely with HR to support and ensure the effective delivery of recruitment, absence management, return-to-work meetings, disciplinary procedures, and performance management processes.Ensure customer service level meets company objectives, through measuring and taking corrective action where necessary, going above a beyond.Directing and motivating warehouse team on meeting operational goals in an environment where the customer satisfaction is critical and constantly strive for continuous improvementSKILLS KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEEssential Skills & ExperienceMinimum of 2-year expertise in a similar roleExperience in warehouse management procedures and best practicesKnowledge of effective inventory management to ensure good stock levelsProven ability to implement process improvement initiativeLeadership skills and experience of managing and developing a team.Ability to network, build strong relationships and influence effectivelyProficient in Microsoft Office Packages, in particular Microsoft Excel and OutlookExperience of managing health and safety, to aid continuous improvement and develop a proactive safety cultureAbility to drive a values led culture and lead by example in line with the MyLife Values of Passion, Pride, Professionalism and Progress.Travel will be required to various sitesFull Driving LicenseDesirable Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience in using ERP and WMS SystemsExperience in logistics and planningForklift (Counter & Reach)Skills:Warehouse Management Warehouse AdministrationBenefits:Competitive Salary Cash Health Plan Life Assurance Free On Site Parking Employee DiscountWHJS1_NI
