Job Title: English & Film Studies Teacher (Secondary) Location: Halesowen & Surrounding Areas Employment Type: Full-time Start Date: ASAP / January 2026 (flexible) About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic English & Film Studies Teacher to join our pool of skilled educators working with schools and colleges in the Halesowen area. You will be delivering engaging lessons across English (KS3–KS4) and Film Studies (KS4), inspiring students to develop strong analytical, creative, and critical-thinking skills. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English and Film Studies. Teach at KS3–KS4 level depending on placement. Assess, track, and record student progress. Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment. Collaborate with department staff within each placement school/college. Participate in meetings, parents’ evenings, and training where required. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), FE qualification, or substantial teaching experience. Strong subject knowledge across English and Film/Media Studies. Ability to adapt teaching style to different settings and cohorts. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply). Excellent communication and organisational skills. *All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
