We are looking to appoint a qualified sports tutor with experience of delivering within the further education sector. This role will involve delivery and assessment on a range of qualifications aimed at general sports, coaching, health & fitness with creative, development and project involvement in non-term time.
The role requires an organised and driven individual with a passion for quality education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a real enthusiasm to develop learners to the highest level within further education with access to leading practitioners for personal career development.
This role is an excellent starting point for different career development, learning and advancement with an innovative and wide-ranging organisation focusing on Competence Development, use of technology, advanced assessment methodologies in sports and physical activity and quality education for all levels of students.
Your qualifications and experience:
1. PGCE, Certificate or Diploma in Education or equivalent
2. Degree in Sport / Coaching / Exercise & Fitness etc
3. Industry Certificates in Sports and Active Leisure
4. Teaching experience within the Further Education Sector
5. Proven track record of delivering outstanding results in education
You will have a track record in:
1. Delivering Sports & Active Leisure qualifications within further education
2. Marking, Assessment and learner feedback procedures
3. Building meaningful and positive working relationships with students
Key Responsibilities for this role:
1. Course delivery and assessment of sport & fitness qualifications
2. Regular tracking and monitoring of student progression
3. Completion of Learner Progress Assessments
4. Attend staff training and CPD sessions
5. Support the ongoing recruitment of students through regular school-based careers events and open evenings
