Job Duties
* Provide expert advice on data protection, information rights, and governance practices
* Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments and support compliance initiatives
* Prepare responses to data subject requests and Freedom of Information enquiries
* Review and develop policies, procedures, and guidance for information governance
* Support teams in handling complex cases, including complaints and internal reviews
* Monitor changes in legislation and implement updates across the organization
* Deliver training and promote best practices in data protection and transparency
Job Requirements
* Proven experience working with data protection legislation in complex organizations
* Strong understanding of the Data Protection Act 2018 and related frameworks
* Ability to interpret legal requirements and provide clear advice to stakeholders
* Excellent communication and writing skills with strong attention to detail
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in governance-related tasks
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work proactively under deadlines
* Proficiency in IT systems and digital tools for managing information processes
* A professional data protection qualification or public sector experience is desirable
