The Perle Oban Hotel is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join their team in the beautiful town of Oban. This is a permanent contract, and you will be working 40 hours a week, Monday through Sunday, on shifts.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance repairs for designated hotel equipment, systems, and facilities to ensure that our hotel's operational standards are met at all times. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills and take pride in their work.

This position is based at The Perle Oban Hotel & Spa, in Oban. Located in the centre of Oban, it offers beautiful views over the harbour. With Oban train station and ferry terminal nearby, it is an ideal base for exploring Scotland's islands and Highlands. This historic building, constructed in 1882, combines Victorian charm with modern style.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assessing machinery, equipment, and technical installations to determine repair needs, and performing preventive maintenance.
* Maintaining and repairing plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen, and HVAC systems.
* Identifying appropriate remedial actions for mechanical failures.
* Completing pre-emptive maintenance (PPM) and residual circuit device checks (RCD) to a high standard.
* Performing physically demanding tasks such as bending, climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, standing, or walking for extended periods.
* Collaborating with the Operations Manager and the Projects, Building & Estates Manager to ensure maintenance priorities are current and executed effectively.
* Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
* Following the hotel's guest relations policies, including polite communication and ensuring guest satisfaction.
