Role Overview
As part of a growth plan, the board is looking to enhance their Senior Management team with a Sales Director focused on the UK & Ireland. This strategic sales role reports directly to the Board and will lead functions including New Business Development, Client Development, Specification Sales, and Account Management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute a sales strategy supporting the company's ambitious growth plans.
2. Build and lead a high-performing sales team.
3. Drive customer acquisition and retention.
4. Expand into new markets while maintaining the company's strong brand reputation.
5. Ensure seamless processes across account management, specification, client development, new business, and customer experience.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate inspiring leadership qualities, a collaborative approach, and a strong understanding of the construction supply chain and specification sales process. Essential skills include excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and experience dealing with executive-level stakeholders.
It is also crucial that the candidate has a proven track record of developing and implementing innovative sales strategies while leading and developing sales teams.
Benefits
Offering an attractive basic salary of £90k-£100k (dependent on experience), 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, contributory pension, a quarterly bonus (up to 25% of salary), a company car or car allowance, and excellent long-term career prospects.
