Reception Teaching Assistant (SEN Support) – September Start A friendly and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Crawley, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated Reception Teaching Assistant to join the team from September. This is a full-time, term-time only position, working closely with class teachers to support children in Reception, including those with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role involves providing both general classroom support and targeted assistance to help pupils access learning, develop social skills, and thrive in a nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Support teaching and learning within the Reception classroom Work with children with a variety of SEN needs, both 1:1 and in small groups Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Promote children’s development across all areas of the Early Years curriculum Requirements: Experience working with young children, ideally within an Early Years or SEN setting A patient, caring, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A child-only enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school community committed to providing high-quality education and care for all pupils.
