The Role
We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong background in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to join the team for the upcoming summer term.
In this rewarding, morning-only position, you will provide vital 1:1 support for a Nursery-aged pupil who has recently been awarded an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). You will play a pivotal role in ensuring her final term of the academic year is positive, secure, and enriched with developmental progress.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored 1:1 educational and developmental support to a Nursery pupil with an EHCP, catering effectively to her specific learning needs.
Collaborate closely with the EYFS team and the school's established pastoral staff to maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Foster the pupil's confidence, resilience, and independence within the early years setting.
Consistently model and promote the school's core values of Pride, Ambition, Respect, Resilience, Integrity, and Excellence.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: Proven, demonstrable experience working within an EYFS or Nursery setting.
Specialist Skills: Prior experience supporting pupils with additional needs or an EHCP is highly advantageous. Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach to early years development are essential.
Attributes: A collaborative team player who thrives in a high-expectation, supportive educational environment.
Vetting: Possession of an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to undergo a new check) is mandatory.
