We are looking for a Category Manager Procurement to join us.
This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the Bristol office as needed and flexibility to work from home.
Key Purpose
* Oversee the delivery of Ayvens UK procurement strategy (core categories*) by creating strong partnerships with business stakeholders and operational suppliers to deliver great outcomes (e.g., consistent service, commercial synergies, responsible practices, low business risk).
* Develop a collaborative ‘centre of excellence’ where Procurement supports Group goals and offers an attentive ‘shared service’ across Ayvens.
* Support the integration of Ayvens Procurement (UK) through embedding robust procurement policies, processes, and best practices.
Summary of Responsibilities
* Own the sourcing strategy for assigned core procurement categories, ensuring supply is consistent and provides great value. Document the strategy clearly and work with stakeholders to meet business and customer needs.
* Collaborate with the Group to ensure categories are underpinned by robust planning and forecasting to maximize synergies, rebates, and bonuses.
* Manage all contracts diligently throughout their lifecycle, with support for wider contracting or commercial reviews as needed.
* Maintain awareness of industry trends and share insights across the organization. Build a sector and knowledge base to underpin expertise.
* Support the development of a ‘shared service’ model to provide attentive UK procurement services, leveraging local policies and Group expertise.
* Assist in specific projects or integration activities as needed.
* Ensure compliance with risk and governance principles, using MI and insights for effective supervision.
Skills, Experience & Background
* Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
* Procurement or supply chain management experience, with negotiation and influencing skills
* Strategic thinking and business planning capabilities
* Financial and commercial acumen
* Experience supporting change and continuous improvement initiatives
* Proficient in data analysis and reporting (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
* Self-motivated with good organizational skills
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
* Team player with the ability to work autonomously
* Experience in procurement, supply chain management, or operational management (degree or qualifications desirable)
* Understanding of the automotive or leasing sector
* IT skills: Microsoft Office suite
