Cramond Playgroup Cramond Kirk Halls, Cramond Glebe Road, Edinburgh, EH4 6NS Part-time Playgroup Administrator Cramond Playgroup is currently seeking a Playgroup Administrator to lead our much-loved, long-established community playgroup. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced professional to work alongside a dedicated staff team, and in turn, support the wellbeing and development of children aged 2-5, and build on the excellent reputation our playgroup enjoys. Run by a committed team of staff and a supportive parent-led committee, Cramond Playgroup is a registered charity based in the well-equipped Cramond Kirk halls. We provide a fun, caring, and stimulating environment where children can flourish. We are looking for a flexible candidate who subscribes to our values and culture of kindness to deliver a much loved community service. The role is for 7.5 hours per week. As this is a new role, hours may vary some weeks. The playgroup follows Edinburgh City Council term dates and this role could work flexibly over the year by agreement with the Playgroup Manager. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design the post to suit the playgroup needs combined with their experience, together with the rest of the team. We are a small team and work in a kind and cooperative manner, supporting each other to deliver a fun environment for our children and the wider community. Cramond Playgroup is a registered charity and operates with a committee made up of parents and carers and voluntary lead roles, Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. This role is subject to a Disclosure Scotland and PVG check. This role can be worked partly at home and partly at the playgroup The Playgroup Administrator will provide · Financial Admin Support (i.e. Monthly invoices to parents, update staff records and pay through our partner payroll and pension company, log receipts and pay invoices, assist with grant application and overseeing monies at events · Secretarial Admin Support (Manage rota, waiting list, update records, arrange and minute meetings, maintain mailing list, send newsletters) · General assistance to playgroup (order items, book entertainers, take payments, arrange snacks, liaise with kirk hall and committee) The Playgroup administrator will: · Be diligent and have a good eye for detail, and is able to manage income and expenditure accurately · Demonstrate excellent administrative, organisational, and IT skills. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with staff, parents, and children.
