My client is a well-reputable Investment Management & Financial Planning firm based in the North Leeds area, providing comprehensive financial services to both individuals and businesses.
We are urgently seeking a Paraplanner / Trainee Paraplanner to join an existing team supporting the Financial Advisers. The role involves researching new products and preparing detailed, technically compliant suitability reports for clients.
Main Purpose of the Role:
* To deliver a highly technical service to our team of advisers, ensuring a positive and professional client experience.
* To support report writing, including suitability reports for reviews and new business, tailored to client needs.
* To assist the Paraplanning Manager in logging incoming projects and maintaining up-to-date report templates.
* To handle reports for high net worth and complex client situations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Assist in producing fully compliant, accurate, and potentially complex reports, including analysis, detailed research of funds and providers, and product recommendations for clients.
* Support asset allocation research, analyze existing client portfolios, and quantify investments.
* Obtain valuations, quotations, and supporting documentation for applications.
* Operate within a strict ethical and compliance framework, under guidance from the Compliance Manager and internal policies.
* Manage personal workload and provide regular updates to the line manager.
* Engage in continuous personal development and maintain supporting records.
* Perform any other duties reasonably required.
Candidate Profile:
Ideally, candidates will hold a Diploma in Financial Planning / Level 4 qualification, with 1-3 years' experience in paraplanning, particularly in report writing and research methodologies. We are also open to part-qualified individuals seeking to advance into a full paraplanning role. Preference is for a career-focused paraplanner not aiming to become an adviser in the immediate future, as this is a dedicated paraplanning position.
