Job Description
Contribute to the effective management of an educational establishment to benefit children and the wider community, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidance issued by the Scottish Government and East Ayrshire Council. Assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, Children and Young Person's Service Plan, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a PVG Scheme member or have an up-to-date record before a formal offer of employment.
Responsibilities
Follow national guidance on pre-employment checks, including providing at least two relevant references, one from your current or most recent employer, with the latter being from an appropriate senior manager.
The Individual
This is a temporary, full-time position based at Mount Carmel Primary School, Kilmarnock, working 35 hours per week under the direction of the Line Manager. The successful candidate should hold a Catholic Teaching Certificate and seek RC approval. The salary is £66,606 per annum, up to 26th June 2026.
