An exciting opportunity to join our dynamic professional team within Clayfields House
We want extraordinary people to help us make a difference to the lives of young people. We believe everyone can achieve ‘positive change’ and we need inspirational, motivated, caring individuals with the right skills and knowledge to work with the most vulnerable young people, meeting their physical, emotional, and mental health care needs.
You will need to have the ability and resilience to work in what can be a very challenging but rewarding environment.
Clayfields House is a Local Authority Secure Children’s Home part of Nottinghamshire County Council. We are a national resource providing secure care education and specialist interventions for up to 20 young people aged between 10 and 18, providing an intensive service for young people who are vulnerable, at risk to themselves or others, and/or placed in secure accommodation due to offending behaviour or through the Childrens Act Section 25. We care for some of the most vulnerable young people in the country but can be the most rewarding.
Your role will involve providing day to day care, advocating, and supporting young people, writing reports, and attending meetings and reviews. You will be a positive role model who is able to build relationships and communicate with even the most difficult to engage children and young people.
We want to hear from you if you think you can meet the necessary requirements for this role and support young people in becoming the best version of themselves.
We are looking for individuals who can work a three-week shift pattern which includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You will have the opportunity for sleep in duties. You will also have key working and shift leading responsibility.
NCC will not offer sponsorship for this role.
For informal discussion regarding this position, please telephone 0115 9170010 and ask to speak to a Team Manager.
Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
