Brewery Sales Lead

Location: Brass Castle Brewery, Malton, North Yorkshire

Salary: £27,000 base + On Target Earnings £40,000–£45,000

Reports to: Managing Director

About Brass Castle Brewery

Brass Castle is an award-winning independent craft brewery based in Malton, North Yorkshire. We specialise in producing innovative, high-quality beers for both UK and international markets. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and well-connected sales professional to lead our sales strategy and build lasting customer relationships.

Role Overview

The Sales Lead will be responsible for driving growth across wholesale, trade, and direct sales channels. This role involves generating new leads, expanding our customer base, managing key relationships, and overseeing sales operations both in the office and out in the field. The successful candidate will also support and coordinate other members of the sales team, while representing Brass Castle Brewery with passion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead brewery sales efforts across multiple channels (wholesale, on-trade, off-trade, export).

* Generate and convert leads to build and expand the customer base.

* Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction.

* Leverage extensive industry contacts to open new routes to market.

* Drive and coordinate field sales activities, including supporting and transporting other sales staff where required.

* Work closely with the brewery team to align sales with production, events, and marketing activity.

* Develop and deliver sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and growth.

* Explore and develop export opportunities for Brass Castle beers.

* Produce sales reports and track performance against KPIs.

Requirements

* Proven track record of sales within the independent craft beer industry.

* Strong personal network of wholesale distributors, pubs, and bars.

* Experience in managing and growing accounts, with a customer-first approach.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

* Full, clean UK driving licence and must be over 25 (for insurance purposes).

* Comfortable balancing office-based work with regular travel for field sales.

* Ability to coordinate and support other members of the sales team.

* Knowledge of export markets and processes (desirable).

* Self-motivated, results-driven, and passionate about craft beer.

* beer sales: 2 years (preferred)
