Robert Half is partnering with a US-headquartered, multi-billion turnover business to recruit an Interim Management Accountant.
This is a hands-on role supporting a busy finance function during a period of change. The business is looking for someone who can take ownership of management accounts, support reporting deadlines, and help improve the quality of financial information across the group.
The Role
As Interim Management Accountant, you will support month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and post-acquisition integration activity. You will work closely with finance leadership and wider stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, timely and useful.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing monthly management accounts, journals, accruals and prepayments
* Producing variance analysis and commentary on financial performance
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes across key business areas
* Assisting with post-acquisition integration, including reporting alignment and process improvements
* Reconciling balance sheet accounts and ensuring strong financial controls
* Supporting month-end close and group reporting deadlines
* Working with stakeholders to improve the quality and consistency of financial information
* Helping standardise processes and reporting across the wider group
What We’re Looking For
* Part-qualified, finalist or qualified accountant, ACCA, CIMA or ACA
* Strong management accounting experience in a large or complex business
* Good understanding of month-end, reporting, reconciliations and variance analysis
* Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
* Strong Excel skills
* Experience in a US-owned, multinational or acquisitive business would be useful
* Hands-on, proactive and able to quickly add value
