Job Description
How will you contribute?
* Actively perform analysis reports of monthly performance to help identify opportunities and suggest actions to maximise profits.
* Sell-in and sell through analysis and extract relevant and concise take-aways, pricing initiatives, and ad-hoc analysis.
* Establishes and maintains relationships with retail buying team by working closely with Merchandising's role as a strategic support.
* Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing & Communications, PR, Ecommerce, Wholesale, and Visual Merchandising.
* Managing competitor analysis for the category to demonstrate analytical skills, by interpreting market needs, trends and identify opportunities to enhance the collection.
* Support on merchandising collection plan, update and follow up with design and development.
* Support in producing presentations for the Merchandise Manager, to be shared with Senior Management, conveying extensive product awareness throughout.
* Participate in technical reviews to ensure quality is met to luxury standard and drives the development planning cycle through establishing schedules and chasing key stakeholders to ensure key merchandise planning dates are respected.
* Support Merchandise Manager during selling campaigns.
* Take ownership of ensuring shots accurately depict new product ranges, coding all items in a highly time sensitive environment and assisting with other activities required.
* Management and organisation of all footwear sample sets before and after campaign launch. Support Press/Communications/Design/VIC/VM upon sample requests.
* Manage training materials that are fit for purpose and suitable for use by our Wholesale, Buying and Retail teams - transmitting depth of product knowledge acquired throughout the development process.
Required Skills:
* You will be able to demonstrate the desired Alexander McQueen behaviours.
* Previous experience in footwear merchandising, preferably within luxury fashion.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
* Extensive analytical and numeracy skills.
* Flexibility to travel with short notice and to work a demanding schedule.
* Passionate about the luxury industry.
