Job Summary
Pharmacy Dispenser to join the Pharmacy team at HMP Wealstun, a Category C male prison located in Wetherby.
Hours
Shift patterns: 07:30‑17:30 or 07:00‑17:00. Four‑day working week with weekend work, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary
Annual salary up to £29,723 per annum, depending on experience (minimum £25,557).

Responsibilities
* Complete general dispensary duties and stock management.
* Work as an active member of the pharmaceutical team to deliver pharmacy services.
* Provide timely and efficient services to prison wings.
* Receive prescriptions and handle stick returns from wing‑based clinical areas.
* Collect orders from suppliers at the main gate and arrange return collections.
* Participate in the dispensing of prescriptions.
Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or equivalent, or working towards it.
* Medicines handling experience desirable.
* Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
* Non‑judgmental and compassionate approach.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good IT skills and IT literacy.
* Ability to work in a busy environment.
* Capability to work unsupervised while adhering to policy and procedures.
