Teaching Assistant – Berkshire Teaching Assistant - Education Teaching Assistant - Immediately We are seeking a committed and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Berkshire. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and is keen to support students' academic and personal development in a school environment. Key Responsibilities: * Support teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4, with occasional support at KS5. * Provide targeted assistance to students, including those with SEND or EAL, both in-class and through small group or one-to-one interventions. * Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and behaviour management. * Help maintain a supportive and focused atmosphere in the classroom. * Contribute to student progress by supporting assessment, feedback, and tracking. * Support pastoral care and contribute to the wider school community. Requirements: * Previous experience working with young people in a school or similar setting is beneficial. * A good standard of literacy and numeracy – GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths required. * An understanding of how to support students with additional or diverse learning needs. * Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to work well within a team. * A positive, flexible approach and a genuine interest in education.
