Security door supervisor job description

A Security Door Supervisor, commonly referred to as a doorperson or bouncer, plays a key role in maintaining the safety and security of the premises. Their primary responsibility is to control access to venues such as clubs, bars, or events, ensuring that only authorized personnel or guests are granted entry. This often includes checking IDs, managing queues, conducting searches for prohibited items, and handling any disturbances. Their role extends beyond just a physical presence as they are often the first point of contact for guests, requiring excellent customer service skills. It is also essential for them to be well-versed in health and safety regulations, conflict management and sometimes, basic first aid. This role demands physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
