Social worker prison job description

As a Prison Social Worker, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting inmates within a correctional facility. Your primary responsibilities will encompass assessing, supporting, and counselling individuals who are battling various social issues such as addiction, domestic violence, or mental health disorders. You’ll work closely with offenders, helping them to cope with prison life, prepare for release, and reintegrate into society. This role demands a strong sense of empathy, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of social work principles and ethics.
