Mane are looking for an established Site Manager to cover Nationally.
The role of a site manager encompasses the senior activities associated with operational site works.
A site manager will have strong practical skills with the ability to organise gangs of operatives and plant working on multiple site activities at any one time. The site manager is also expected to have good office skills and a very strong health and safety ethos. Often the main representative of the company, the site manager is expected to lead by example.
* Key Responsibilities/RequirementsAs a site manager your main responsibility is to the health and safety of all site personnel. You will oversee all site activities ensuring all works are undertaken in a safe and controlled manor in accordance with legislation/guidance and that it will not be detrimental to health and/or safety of any site personnel, visitors or members of the public.
* Ensure that the deadline for completing work is met and in accordance with the site program.
* Ensure workers are undertaking in accordance with the remediation method statement or other working plans.
* Manage and deal with problems appropriately as they arise or seek management/ specialist advice where required.
* Undertake site inductions, site instruction, safety briefings and tool box talks or designate to appropriate personnel and check they have been undertaken.
* Act as primary contact for the site based client/consultant, members of public and site subcontractors and liaise with architects, engineers, surveyors and planners if required.
* Oversee the delivery of materials and that appropriate lifting plans and documentation/duty of care in order.
* Manage all site operations involving site plant, equipment and personnel to ensure they are utilised in a cost-effective manner.
* Ensure all site staff and operatives and any sub-contractors are suitably qualified for the tasks that they are undertaking.
* Ensure the cost effective recovery of assets from the site works and utilise existing site materials where appropriate and possible.
* You should ensure all project paperwork is all completely up to date and that designated operatives undertake all daily/weekly inspection/monitoring for any aspects of the works that they are involved.
* Qualifications & Experience Required/DesiredAt least 5 years relevant site management experience within remediation and/or civil engineering.
* Knowledge and experience of various plant and machinery.
* Relevant CSCS & SMSTS qualifications.
