About the Role
As a Trainee Site Manager, you will gain hands‑on experience across a variety of traditional build housing developments, including both private residential and housing association schemes. Project sizes typically range from 4 to 20 units.
Working alongside experienced construction professionals, you will learn every stage of the build process while developing the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in site management.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans
- Completing structured training modules
- Learning all aspects of the residential build programme
- Assisting with site health and safety procedures
- Supporting the management of subcontractors and trades
- Learning snagging and completion processes
- Assisting with day‑to‑day site operations
- Developing an understanding of quality control and build standards
About You
We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, motivated, and passionate about pursuing a career in construction management.
- Some previous experience within the construction industry
- A recent college or university qualification in a construction‑related subject HND or OND (desirable)
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
- The confidence to get involved and learn from experienced professionals
- A reliable and professional approach to work
- A full UK driving licence and access to transport due to varying site locations
