Learning Mentor - Hemel Hempstead
Academics are recruiting a committed Learning Mentor for a permanent post supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs in Hemel Hempstead. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a long-term impact on young people's lives.
Responsibilities
* As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with students to build trust, support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour.
* You will use de-escalation techniques, provide consistent boundaries and help maintain a calm, structured learning environment.
* Collaboration with staff, parents and outside agencies is an essential part of ensuring each young person receives tailored support.
Qualifications
* We are looking for a resilient, patient and empathetic Learning Mentor who can form strong relationships and confidently manage challenging behaviour.
* Experience within SEN, SEMH or youth support is beneficial, though full training is provided.
Salary
This permanent Learning Mentor role in Hemel Hempstead offers a competitive salary of £450-£550 per week, reflective of the responsibility and impact of the position.
