Job Description
We seek a talented and conscientious HR professional to join our team within an engineering and manufacturing environment. This is a fixed-term 12-month contract to cover maternity leave.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Partner with functions, managers, supervisors, and employees to build successful relationships.
* Coach and advise managers on HR matters.
* Provide effective resourcing and recruitment solutions alongside the talent team and hiring managers.
* Support employee relations issues including absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
* Assist in data collection and metrics to inform business decisions.
Qualifications and Skills
* Good knowledge of HR best practices, UK employment law, preferably in manufacturing/engineering.
* CIPD certification or a Bachelor's Degree in HR or equivalent (desirable).
* Experience with HRIS, managing the employee lifecycle, and strong analytical skills.
* Excellent communication skills across locations and levels.
* Passion for enhancing employee experience and business performance.
* Strong coaching skills to support managers and employees.
* Highly organized with scalable processes.
* Ability to challenge existing processes with a lean mindset.
* Focus on SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).
