Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at Grange House Day Nursery in the heart of our community. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our children receive nutritious and delicious meals, contributing to their overall well-being and development.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook healthy meals for children aged 0-5 years.
* Ensure all food safety standards are met in meal preparation.
* Plan menus that cater to the dietary needs of young children.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
* Collaborate with nursery staff to support children's nutritional needs.
* Monitor food supplies and place orders as necessary.
* Assist in training kitchen staff on food safety practices.
* Participate in nursery events involving food preparation.
* Qualifications
* Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a childcare setting.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
* Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions for young children.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills to work effectively with staff and parents.
* Culinary qualifications or certifications are a plus.

Pay: £12.38-£14.00 per hour
