Site Manager | Commercial Fit Out Projects

Walker & Sloan are working with an outstanding commercial fit out contractor to recruit a Site Manager to support the delivery of high‑profile projects across the South West.
With an impressive portfolio of work spanning commercial offices, workplace environments, education, healthcare, leisure and mixed‑use developments, our client has built an exceptional reputation for delivering high‑quality fit out and refurbishment projects valued up to £25m.
We seek an ambitious Site Manager who will join a progressive business with a strong pipeline of secured work and a genuine commitment to quality, collaboration and career development.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of commercial fit out and refurbishment projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.
Working closely with Project Managers, commercial teams, design consultants and specialist subcontractors, you will play a key role in coordinating site operations and maintaining exceptional client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
This position offers exposure to complex and fast‑paced projects ranging from £1m to £25m across the South West region.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing daily site operations across commercial fit out and refurbishment projects
* Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour
* Maintaining programme performance and site productivity
* Ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and quality compliance
* Conducting site meetings, progress reviews and coordination workshops
* Managing site logistics and short‑term programming
* Monitoring project progress and reporting to senior management
* Supporting client relationships and maintaining a professional site presence
* Driving snag‑free delivery and successful project handovers
Candidate Profile
* Previous experience as a Site Manager within commercial fit out or refurbishment
* Proven track record delivering projects within commercial, office, education, healthcare, retail or mixed‑use sectors
* Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and site management processes
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to coordinate multiple trades within fast‑paced live environments
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualified
* Passion for delivering high‑quality projects and exceptional client service
