We are seeking a highly experienced and discreet Housekeeper to support a private couple in their beautiful countryside residence in Wales. This is a full-time, live-out position suited to someone who takes immense pride in their work, has a meticulous eye for detail, and brings a warm, can-do attitude to their role.
This is a multifaceted role that also includes hospitality, administrative, and operational responsibilities across the main residence, and a boutique Bed & Breakfast within the main residence.

committed to excellence in all areas of household and guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping & Presentation
1. Daily cleaning, tidying, and upkeep of the interior of the home to an impeccable standard
2. Deep cleaning on a rotational basis (e.g. windows, crockery, silverware, etc.)
3. Care for fine furnishings, artwork, antiques, and delicate surfaces
4. Laundry and ironing, including care of high-end garments, cashmeres and linens
5. Wardrobe management and seasonal rotation of clothing
6. Flower arranging and maintaining fresh floral displays
Cooking & Kitchen Duties
7. Preparing fresh, seasonal meals using local and/or homegrown ingredients
8. Baking cakes and other baked goods as requested
9. Menu planning and food preparation for the principals and for occasional informal entertaining
10. Kitchen inventory management and maintaining cleanliness to the highest hygiene standards
Errands, Pet Care & Household Management
11. Grocery and ingredient shopping, with a focus on local produce and specialty items
12. Coordination with the kitchen garden to incorporate homegrown produce into meals
13. Running errands such as collecting prescriptions, posting mail, etc.
14. Liaising with service providers, tradespeople, and deliveries
15. Overseeing household stock levels (cleaning products, pantry, etc.)
16. Occasional care of household pets (cats and dogs), including feeding, dog walking, and vet visits if required
17. Arranging trusted house sitters or pet sitters when the principals are away
General Assistant Duties
18. Assisting the principals with light administrative tasks and paperwork
19. Diary and appointment management as needed
20. Travel packing/unpacking and occasional travel support
21. Maintaining a smooth, well-organised, and welcoming home environment
22. Bed & Breakfast Management
23. Managing the diary and booking system for the Bed & Breakfast Monday-Friday in line with agreed protocols
24. Ensuring diary management supports appropriate rest and time off for the housekeeper
25. Meeting and greeting guests to provide a warm and professional welcome
26. Preparing guest rooms to an impeccable standard
27. Preparing and serving breakfast for B&B guests, accommodating dietary needs and adhering strictly to food hygiene procedures
28. Managing and maintaining breakfast and guest food supplies, ensuring quality, freshness, and compliance with health and safety standards
Other Duties
29. Providing catering for garden tours, client visits, and other special functions
30. Occasional travel and support for catering or other operational needs
31. Careful management of time to accommodate duties ensuring an average 40-hour working week is maintained
Candidate Requirements:
32. Proven experience in a similar role within a high-end private household or boutique hospitality environment
33. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high standards
34. Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of privacy
35. Confident cook with a love of seasonal, locally sourced produce
36. Comfortable around animals, with a genuine affection for pets
37. Strong organisational and communication skills
38. Flexible and proactive, with a warm and professional presence
39. Comfortable managing guest interactions, bookings, and special events
40. Full UK driving licence
41. DBS check will be required
This is a varied and rewarding role for a highly capable housekeeper who thrives in both domestic and guest-facing environments. You’ll be joining a respectful and welcoming household that values excellence, professionalism, and a personal touch.
Full-Time - your hours of work will be any 5 days out of 7, with full flexibility to meet the needs of the property owners.
Hours of work would entail mornings, afternoons and evenings, and your rota will be shared with you a week prior. (40 hours per week.)
