Android Security Developer
Join us at Barclays as an Android Security Developer. We are looking for a skilled Android Security Developer to join our team and help build robust, secure solutions that protect the bank’s digital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Provision of subject matter expertise on security systems and engineering patterns.
* Development and implementation of protocols, algorithms, and software applications to protect sensitive data and systems.
* Management and protection of secrets, ensuring that they are securely generated, stored, and used.
* Execution of audits to monitor, identify and assess vulnerabilities in the bank’s infrastructure/software and support the response to potential security breaches.
* Identification of advancements to support innovation with new cryptographic technologies and techniques.
* Collaboration across the bank, including developers and security teams, to ensure that cryptographic solutions align with business objectives, security policies and regulatory requirements.
* Development and implementation of Identity and Access Management solutions and systems.
Qualifications & Skills
* Android development experience with Java, Kotlin and C++.
* Experience with Android Native Development Kit (NDK) for native development.
* Knowledge of common cryptography functions and their application in mobile security.
* Deep understanding of mobile security principles and threat mitigation.
* Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
* Advanced knowledge of Android security practices and threat modelling.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
