We are seeking a dedicated HR Officer to join a school in Reading on a temporary basis to cover maternity, 1 day per week. This role requires a professional with expertise in human resources to support key HR operations effectively.

You'll be joining a collaborative, hard-working team of educators and administrative staff at a local school in Reading, The school has 30 members of staff and provides education for 300 students, with a specialism in STEM, who a part of a wider trust. You'll be standalone for HR based at the campus, but will have the support of a wider group HR function. Description
The HR Officer will:
Support the HR department with recruitment and onboarding processes.
Assist in maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
Provide guidance to staff on HR policies and procedures.
Coordinate training sessions and development programmes.
Prepare HR reports and analyse data for decision-making purposes.
Ensure adherence to employment laws and organisational policies.
Collaborate with various departments to address HR-related needs.Profile
A successful HR Officer should have:
Previous experience in human resources, ideally within Education but other backgrounds will be considered.
Proficiency in HR coordination.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
The ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Job Offer
Competitive daily rate of circa £130 per day PAYE.
