Offer description

Are you a passionate writer who is curious about ground-breaking technology? Then this is the right place for you! The world’s most visionary companies trust Arm to lead the next frontier of AI, putting Arm at the center of every major innovation!

To support our users, we're looking for someone who is at the early stages of their career as a writer, who will thrive at the heart of software development. Our tools optimize application performance and accelerate innovation across devices. We create content that helps users understand and use these tools with confidence.

That means more than writing guides — it’s building strong relationships with product and support teams, asking the right questions, and getting hands-on with the tools. We test, experiment, and dig deep to build content that’s accurate, credible, and genuinely useful.

This role provides scope to learn and grow in a supportive environment. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with advanced software tools, build your skills in technical writing, and be part of a wider group that values curiosity, accuracy, and clear communication. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to take on larger projects and broaden your impact.

Responsibilities

* Develop clear, accurate, and useful content for software tools, initially focusing on smaller content areas and updates with support from senior writers.
* Collaborate with engineers and other domain experts to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
* Apply our writing style guidance consistently, while learning to adapt content for different user needs.
* Take part in team reviews, giving and receiving feedback to improve content quality.
* Be open to learning new tools, methods, and processes, as well as contributing ideas for improving how we work.

Required Skills and Experience

We would like you to have some experience as a technical writer, information developer, or have worked in a similar role. However, we would be interested in graduates with strong communication skills who enjoy writing. You may have a relevant degree or post‑grad qualification — but it’s not crucial.

* Great communication skills — able to ask probing questions, explain your findings, and work effectively with others.
* Comfortable exploring software products hands‑on to understand basic workflows and provide feedback.
* Familiarity with content creation tools and version control. We work in a Docs as Code environment, but if you haven’t done that before that’s ok.

As a bonus, you might have some experience with user interfaces, command‑line tools, embedded systems, or other technical skills.

Above all, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, and curious candidate who wants to learn, develop their writing skills, and work well in a team.

In Return

You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive team that regularly co‑delivers content for major projects. This role offers hands‑on experience, supportive mentorship, and time to build confidence as a writer in a sophisticated engineering environment.

Tech Comms at Arm has a strong global presence, with writers from a diverse set of backgrounds and all experience levels. We guide, share, and develop together as a community.

Accommodations at Arm

At Arm, we want to build extraordinary teams. If you need an adjustment or an accommodation during the recruitment process, please email accommodations@arm.com. To note, by sending us the requested information, you consent to its use by Arm to arrange for appropriate accommodations. All accommodation or adjustment requests will be treated with confidentiality, and information concerning these requests will only be disclosed as necessary to provide the accommodation. Although this is not an exhaustive list, examples of support include breaks between interviews, having documents read aloud, or office accessibility. Please email us about anything we can do to accommodate you during the recruitment process.

Hybrid Working at Arm

Arm’s approach to hybrid working is designed to create a working environment that supports both high performance and personal well‑being. We believe in bringing people together face to face to enable us to work at pace, whilst recognizing the value of flexibility. Within that framework, we empower groups/teams to determine their own hybrid working patterns, depending on the work and the team’s needs. Details of what this means for each role will be shared upon application. In some cases, the flexibility we can offer is limited by local legal, regulatory, tax, or other considerations, and where this is the case, we will collaborate with you to find the best solution. Please talk to us to find out more about what this could look like for you.

Equal Opportunities at Arm

Arm is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal opportunities are available to all applicants and colleagues. We are a diverse organization of dedicated and innovative individuals, and don’t discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
