People Shared Services HR Administrator Apprentice

Looking for a fresh start in HR, real-world experience, and a great salary — all without student debt? Join RS as a People Shared Services Admin Apprentice.

We’re offering Early Careers opportunities where you learn on the job with structured training. You don’t need HR experience — just a passion for learning and helping people. You’ll receive full training and support from day one.


What is the opportunity?

* This is an 18-month apprenticeship to become a People Shared Services Administrator. You’ll complete the recognised qualification below and learn the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need: HR support / Skills England
* This is fully funded – no cost to you – combining on-the-job learning with structured training.


What you’ll be doing day-to-day

* Handle employee records, support payroll and onboarding activities, assist with basic administration, and support day-to-day People operations.
* Work with Recruitment, Technology & Payroll; maintain and manage reports, schedule interviews, and look for ways to improve processes.
* Support the team to deliver an excellent employee experience.
* You’ll receive full training and support from day one.


What we’re looking for

This is an entry-level role; we’re looking for potential, not perfection.

* No Level 3 or higher HR qualification required.
* You have the right to work in the UK and have lived in the EU/EEA for the last 3 years.
* Willing to travel to Corby and occasionally London offices (hybrid role).
* Good written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and MS Office/Teams/Excel skills.
* Ability to learn quickly, curiosity to develop new skills, and confidence to find answers.
* Desirable: a second European language.
* Customer-focused with a drive to improve the People experience.
* Self-motivated with a high level of accuracy.

Training

On completion of this 12-month apprenticeship you will have gained your HR Support Level 3 Apprenticeship.
