Our client is a dynamic and highly regarded regional firm seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their Dispute Resolution team, based in either Exeter or Torquay. About the role
As part of the Employment team within Dispute Resolution, you will handle a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including:
* Settlement agreements
* Discrimination claims
* Redundancy, TUPE & business reorganisation
* Grievance & disciplinary procedures
* Drafting contracts & policies
* Contracts for self-employed & casual workers
* Employment rights
You will provide high-quality, informed legal advice and representation to clients across employment law matters. You should also have experience in:
* Negotiating settlements and representing clients in mediation, conciliation, and other alternative dispute resolution processes
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service, and fostering trust and confidence
* Conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing cases for hearings and tribunals
* Keeping up-to-date with developments in employment law and contributing to the firm's continuous improvement

About You
With several years’ PQE as an Employment Lawyer in a quality regional or national firm, you will be confident managing your own caseload of contentious and non-contentious matters. You should be well-organized, capable of working independently, and committed to delivering excellent client service. Your client care skills and experience in managing client expectations will be highly valued.
You are motivated to engage in business development activities and have begun to develop your profile regionally. The firm encourages bringing your own ideas for marketing, thought leadership, and networking to support business growth.
Collaborative and team-oriented, you enjoy working in an office environment but also value flexibility and remote work. You will support and mentor less experienced colleagues and share knowledge within the team. Good IT skills and a positive attitude towards learning new systems are essential.
