Site Manager - Heating & Plumbing (Mechanical Building Services)Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of heating and plumbing works on mechanical building services projects. The role involves managing site operations, coordinating labour and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services and proven site management experience.Key ResponsibilitiesTake full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activitiesCoordinate and supervise direct labour, subcontractors, and suppliersEnsure all heating and plumbing installations are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programmeMaintain high standards of health & safety, ensuring RAMS are implemented and complied withLiaise with clients, main contractors, consultants, and internal teamsManage site progress, attend site meetings, and provide regular reportsMonitor quality control and ensure works are delivered to specificationIdentify and resolve technical and site issues efficientlyEnsure materials, plant, and labour are planned and availableSupport commissioning, testing, and handover processesMaintain accurate site records, including diaries, inspections, and snagging listsSkills & Experience RequiredProven experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor within heating, plumbing, or mechanical building servicesStrong technical knowledge of HVAC, heating, and plumbing systemsExperience working on commercial and/or High end residential projectsGood understanding of construction programmes and sequencingSMSTS or SSSTS (training can be provided)CSCS card (essential)Strong leadership and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple work fronts and prioritiesGood IT skills (email, reporting, basic project systems)Desirable QualificationsNVQ Level 3 or above in Plumbing & Heating or Mechanical ServicesFirst Aid at WorkWhat We OfferSalary £48k to £55k DOECompany vehicle Stable workload and long-term career progressionSupportive management team and well-organised projects
