We are seeking a high-calibre HR Officer to join an Outstanding secondary school in the Sheffield area. This Full-Time, Permanent position (with Part-Time considered for the right candidate) starts in April 2026. We are looking for a proactive professional who can lead the school’s HR function, ensuring that all staffing and recruitment processes are managed with a pioneering spirit and a meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities
* Lead the school’s recruitment and selection processes, ensuring high-calibre candidates are appointed
* Manage the Single Central Record (SCR) to ensure 100% statutory compliance for all safeguarding audits
* Provide professional advice to the Senior Leadership Team on employee relations and policy implementation
* Coordinate the staff appraisal and performance management cycles across the academic year
* Oversee the onboarding and induction of new staff to ensure a welcoming and professional integration
Qualifications and Experience
* CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience in an HR operational role, ideally within a school or complex public sector setting
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and a professional manner
* Must have the right to work in the UK
Salary and Benefits
* Salary Range: £29,500 – £36,500
