We have an opening for a Tea Time Cook at Copperdown Residential Care Home. The usual shift pattern is from 3-7pm, 5 days a week, including weekends.
Copperdown Residential Home is a small, privately run facility catering to 29 clients with various dietary requirements, such as wheat intolerance, diabetic diets, and soft food options. Providing high-quality care and service to our residents is our top priority.
Requirements: Experience in cooking, preparing sandwiches, baking cakes, etc., and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate are preferred.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Serving hot or cold food to residents during tea time.
2. Serving preferred hot and cold drinks.
3. Delivering meals to residents who wish to remain in their rooms.
4. Collecting crockery from all rooms.
5. Washing crockery and utensils, and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy.
6. Vacuuming the dining room after tea.
7. Preparing evening drinks at 6:30 pm for residents.
8. Following infection control measures and safe working practices.
9. Adhering to Environmental Health and Health & Safety regulations.
10. Managing the use of consumables efficiently to minimize waste.
11. Maintaining effective stock control.
12. Obeying fire safety protocols.
13. Reporting hazards or safety issues to the Senior Care staff.
14. Performing other duties as assigned by the Senior Care staff.
