The Role Reporting to and working alongside the HR Manager, the HR Officer will deliver hands-on HR support across a number of locations. You'll work closely with managers to ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently and in compliance with current employment law. The role combines both operational and administrative duties, including assisting with recruitment processes, managing HR records, supporting employee relations cases, and playing a role in ongoing HR initiatives. Key Responsibilities Deliver daily HR guidance and support to employees and managers across several sites Advise on organisational policies, procedures, and employment law requirements Manage recruitment processes and assist with onboarding new employees Keep employee records accurate and up to date within HR and timekeeping systems Provide support on employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance cases Track and review absence data, producing insights and reports Assist with performance management and probation processes Prepare HR reports, data analysis, and key performance metrics for leadership Contribute to engagement, wellbeing, and culture-related initiatives Support compliance requirements and statutory reporting obligations Assist with training, development activities, and broader HR projects as needed The Ideal Candidate CIPD qualification or equivalent Proven experience in a generalist HR role Solid understanding of HR practices and Northern Ireland employment legislation Background in a high-paced environment and exposure to trade unions (advantageous) Strong IT skills, including HR systems and Microsoft Office Full driving licence and access to personal transport What's On Offer?
