Freelance Commercial Groundworks Site Manager (CIS / Ltd Co)

Rate: £270 – £290 per day (CIS / Ltd Company)

We are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Commercial Groundworks Site Manager to manage a commercial groundworks package on a project based in Teeside. This role is offered on a CIS or Ltd Company basis and provides a long-term contract for the right individual.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the groundworks package is delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all on-site groundworks activities from start to completion
*
Oversee drainage, foundations, services, concrete works, and external works
*
Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, RAMS, and site procedures
*
Liaise with project managers, engineers, quantity surveyors, and client teams
*
Maintain accurate site documentation, progress reports, and daily briefings
*
Drive programme delivery and quality control
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial groundworks projects
*
Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certification
*
Strong understanding of groundworks sequencing and site logistics
*
Ability to manage busy, fast-paced construction sites
*
Excellent communication and leadership skills
*
Right to work in the UK
