Sales Executive – Independent Retail (Scotland / North of England / North Wales)
Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for developing new business and building lasting customer relationships? Join Rentokil Retail Products, part of Rentokil Initial, the global leader in pest control solutions, as we grow our amateur/domestic product sales across the UK.
Working closely with the Retail Sales Development Manager you'll play a key role in driving sales growth within the Independent channel, selling our approved Rentokil product range to retailers and distributors.
What you'll do:
* Win new business – identify and convert new customers into successful trading accounts.
* Deliver results – achieve monthly and annual sales and margin targets.
* Manage accounts – grow relationships within the Independent channel, driving sales and ensuring accounts receivable are met.
* Protect the brand – ensure customers represent Rentokil consistently across online and offline retail spaces.
* Partner with marketing – plan and deliver promotional activity, and represent Rentokil at trade events.
* Stay ahead – provide insight into competitor activity and market trends.
* Support customers – act as the key point of contact, resolving queries quickly and professionally.
* Ensure safety – follow and enforce Health & Safety protocols.
* Report progress – provide regular business performance updates to the Retail Sales Development Manager.
What we're looking for:
* Detailed knowledge of the retail sector and customer needs.
* A proven track record in customer account management, with the ability to build and grow relationships.
* Good analytical skills, including confidence with Google Suite.
* Proven capability in time management and travel planning.
* A working knowledge of pest control products would be an advantage – but full product training will be provided.
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills
* The ability to make strong sales decisions with a clear appreciation of margin and value
* A focus on the customer and team player
