Graduate Trainee Developer
As a Graduate Trainee, you will play a key role within the Finance directorate, working in the Business Intelligence Development team with rotational placements. You will support the delivery of data and analytical solutions to enhance data management and reporting, ultimately improving efficiency and decision-making across NHS Supply Chain.
What does a Graduate Trainee Developer do at NHS Supply Chain?
You will experience different business areas as a Graduate, including placements in key departments. You will have a mentor throughout the programme and opportunities to provide feedback over the 2-year period.
With team support, you will work with senior Analytics leaders to deliver strategic projects aligned with business goals. You will support major projects and eventually lead smaller projects with appropriate guidance and training.
Skills to Help You Thrive
* Minimum 2.2 degree achieved within the last 3-5 years.
* A relevant business intelligence or analytics degree is beneficial but not essential; personal qualities and skills are more important.
* Technical Skills: Strong understanding of database structures, data warehouse concepts, proficiency in SQL, knowledge of Python or R, and data visualisation principles.
* Analytical Abilities: Ability to identify patterns and derive insights from data.
* Communication Skills: Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills to explain complex data to diverse audiences.
* Organisational Skills: Efficient task and project management with attention to detail.
* Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well with others and develop strong relationships.
* Attention to Detail and Adaptability: Ensuring accuracy and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
* Desire to support the NHS in Business Intelligence/Analytics and data engineering careers.
