Site Manager – Planned Works (Crawley)

Wates has an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join our Planned Works team! You’ll be working on one of our key contracts in the Crawley area, delivering high-quality social housing projects — including roofing, cavity wall insulation, and external decorations.
Your mission? To ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Planning and programming works, including short‑term schedules
* Managing operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Ensuring top‑notch quality control and health & safety compliance
* Attending pre‑ and post‑inspections and advising on job requirements
* Producing weekly site progress reports
* Ensuring timely handover and invoicing to support smooth cash flow
What We’re Looking For
* SMSTS certification (essential)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* CSCS card (desirable)
* Experience in social housing and planned maintenance
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
This role would also suit a Supervisor ready to step up into a Site Manager position.
