Part-Time HR Manager Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow Salary: £27,000 (equivalent to c.£45,000 full-time) Hours: 3 days per week Working Pattern: Hybrid working with 1 day from home and flexible working arrangements Travel: Occasional travel between offices required The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead and develop the people function across a growing group of businesses. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys working closely with senior leadership, driving people strategy, and creating a positive and engaging workplace culture. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, you will take ownership of all people-related matters across the group, helping to shape and deliver a people strategy that supports both current operations and long-term business growth. Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership Develop, implement and continuously improve the group's people strategy in alignment with the wider business strategy. Work closely with the Managing Partner to deliver the annual HR and people plan. Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all HR-related matters across the group. Provide regular reporting on key people metrics including headcount, retention, absence and employee engagement. Employee Lifecycle Management Manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to offboarding. Lead recruitment activity across the group, including job design, advertising, shortlisting, interview coordination and offer management. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records across all group companies. Employee Relations Lead and manage formal HR processes including performance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures. Ensure all employee relations matters are handled fairly, consistently and in line with current employment legislation and ACAS guidance. Provide practical and commercially focused HR advice to managers and leaders. Learning & Development Design and implement a structured learning and development framework across all roles and levels. Coordinate and oversee training programmes covering technical, management, compliance and soft skills development. Manage the annual appraisal process, ensuring consistency, fairness and alignment with business objectives and individual KPIs. Culture & Engagement Drive employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives across the group. Develop programmes that support an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing workplace environment. Champion company values and contribute to a positive employee experience. Compliance & Best Practice Maintain and develop HR policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with organisational values. Stay up to date with employment law developments and HR best practice, advising leadership on any implications. About You We are keen to speak with experienced HR professionals who can demonstrate: 3 years experience in a standalone or HR Manager role. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. Experience managing employee relations cases including disciplinary and grievance procedures. Proven ability to develop and implement HR initiatives and people strategies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills. CIPD qualification level 5 What's on Offer?
