Role Overview
We are seeking a talented TM1 Developer to join our consultancy team, working on client‑facing projects that deliver enterprise planning and reporting solutions using IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
Responsibilities
* Design and develop TM1 models including Cubes, Dimensions, Rules, and TI Processes without relying on wizards.
* Optimize TM1 performance through efficient cube design, feeder tuning, and rule optimization.
* Implement and manage TM1 security models including group‑based and element‑level security.
* Develop and maintain TM1 reports and dashboards using TM1 Web, Perspectives, and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE).
* Integrate TM1 with external systems using TM1 REST API and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl).
* Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, DB2, or Oracle for data integration and validation.
* Write and optimize MDX queries and SQL scripts for data extraction and reporting.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative delivery using Scrum, Kanban, or Disciplined Agile methodologies.
* Provide operational support and maintenance for TM1 environments.
Requirements
* Hands‑on TM1/Planning Analytics development experience.
* Strong understanding of TM1 architecture and performance tuning techniques.
* Proficiency in MDX, SQL, Excel, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
* Experience with TM1 REST API and scripting for automation and integration.
* Familiarity with Cognos TM1 v10.2 and Planning Analytics components (PAW, PAfE).
* Experience in documenting technical and functional requirements.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex solutions to non‑technical stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Exposure to Behaviour‑Driven Development (BDD) or Test‑Driven Development (TDD) is a plus.
