About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Oracle Intelligent Advisor (IA) Developer to join a public sector project in the Midlands. In this role, you will be responsible for building and supporting IA rulebases, digital forms, and integrations that are secure, accessible, and production-ready. This is a hands‑on role suited for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, delivery‑focused environment and has strong experience working across both front‑end and backend IA components.
Responsibilities
* Designing and developing IA rulebases and user‑friendly form journeys
* Configuring and managing Oracle IA Hub, deployments, and runtime behaviour
* Building custom Web Determinations / Interview controls using vanilla JavaScript
* Ensuring applications meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards (ARIA, keyboard navigation, etc.)
* Developing and optimising SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and data models
* Creating and maintaining Java SOAP‑based integrations
* Performing testing (functional, regression, accessibility, and performance)
* Supporting deployments via Azure DevOps and managing changes through ServiceNow
* Providing live support, troubleshooting issues, and resolving defects
* Contributing to documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
Core Technical Skills
* Strong experience with Oracle Intelligent Advisor (IA) – rule modelling, decision logic, and Hub configuration
* Expertise in custom JavaScript (no frameworks) for IA controls
* Solid understanding of SQL Server (schema design, performance tuning)
* Experience with Java SOAP integrations
* Familiarity with Azure DevOps and ServiceNow processes
Accessibility & Standards
* Hands‑on experience implementing WCAG 2.2 AA standards
* Knowledge of GDS design principles and user‑centric design
Soft Skills
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Analytical mindset with problem‑solving capabilities
* Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams
* Focus on delivering high‑quality, user‑centered solutions
Nice to Have
* Experience working in public sector or regulated environments
